Microsoft Surface GO 10-Inch Tablet-PC - (Silver) (Intel Pentium 4415Y Gold Processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, 4 GB HD 615 Graphics, Windows 10 in S Mode)

The Microsoft Surface GO 10-Inch Tablet-PC is a versatile device that offers a seamless experience for everyday use. Users have found that it works well with USB DVD drives and external hard drives, but caution is advised regarding USB-C adapters as not all are able to power the device. The tablet's charging performance has been a concern for some, with reports of it heating up and emitting a buzzing noise, indicating potential defects. Additionally, the absence of a USB type A port limits the connectivity options, requiring users to use a USB-C to type A dongle or opt for a Bluetooth mouse. The Windows 10 S Mode has been both praised and critiqued. It is lauded for its efficiency in performing everyday tasks like office work, internet browsing, and media Consumption, in addition to providing enhanced security by restricting the installation of software from the internet. However, users have pointed out limitations such as the inability to install popular software like Google Chrome without switching out of S mode, and concerns about reduced battery life when using non-Edge browsers. The inclusion of the pen and keyboard is optional and can be selected at the time of purchase, providing users with the flexibility to customize their experience. In terms of battery life, opinions vary, with some users reporting 6-7 hours of use in S Mode, while others find the actual usage time to be lower, especially when running resource-intensive applications or experiencing self-discharge issues during periods of inactivity. Despite some concerns, many users have voiced their satisfaction with the Surface GO, highlighting its portability, performance, and seamless integration with Microsoft applications through Office 365. However, criticisms have included issues regarding performance, storage, and limitations on software support. Some users find it unsuitable for gaming and have experienced rapid battery discharge, leading to dissatisfaction with the overall experience.
