It is intended to protect surfaces from paint overspray for indoor use; however, it can be used outside. While the product may have potential, it lacks a cutting dispenser, making it tricky to use without the tape sticking to the masking film. With that said, it offers a way to save time on masking off areas during the painting process. The tape could have a little more adhesion but is not too bad, especially for automotive use. For larger projects, it is helpful to use reinforced tape for additional support.
