- GERO AXULAR El grupo de danza GERO surgió como asociación cultural en 2004 en el barrio donostiarra de Aiete, por iniciativa de un grupo de padres y madres de Axular Lizeoa. A lo largo de todos estos años, GERO ha desarrollado una dilatada y fructífera trayectoria en la promoción de la danza y la cultura vasca, tanto en Euskal Herria, como fuera de nuestra tierra. Gero Axular se caracteriza por el esmero que dedica al vestuario, peinado y complementos utilizados en actuaciones y espectáculos. Actualmente cuenta con más de 3.000 piezas de vestuario correspondientes a más de 60 diseños basados en la vestimenta tradicional del País Vasco. Todos ellos destacan por la cuidada atención a los detalles. HARROTASUNEZ, EZ HARROKERIAZ Parece que Wikipedia tiene respuestas para todo, pero no es así. Consultando este portal no hemos encontrado la respuesta a cuándo se inventó la ropa ni cuál fue la razón para hacerlo. ¿Sería para protegerse del frío? ¿O quizás para esconder el cuerpo? Puede que fuera para sentirse más favorecido. Quién sabe. Lo que sí sabemos es que, con el tiempo, cada sociedad creó su vestuario y que poco a poco se convirtió en su signo de identidad. Así, nuestros antepasados crearon sus propios trajes y los usaban con orgullo. Gracias a ellos somos lo que somos, y tenemos que sentirnos orgullosos de ello. Para contribuir a un mejor conocimiento y uso del traje tradicional, el grupo de danza GERO AXULAR ha desplegado la iniciativa #dotorejantzi. Con ello, pretende promover, a través de diversas líneas de actuación, que las personas se animen a usar el traje de baserritarra en aquellas ocasiones en las que resulte oportuno, y que lo hagan con sencillez y respeto hacia su origen y significado.
