It is suitable for walkways up to 50 inches wide but is not pressure mounted, and the plastic tabs are to add stability while mounting. The gate is extendable but may warp over time. Some users find it challenging to open or close, and the lock mechanism is not sturdy enough. Overall, it is an excellent gate for short-term use and is sturdy enough but may be difficult to extend and retract.
