With a Z-Wave range of up to 300 feet (line of sight) or up to a mile, the sensor provides reliable coverage for most homes and larger offices. Just add it to your Z-Wave network and install it on your door or window for enhanced security. Additionally, it features Z-Wave Plus certification and S2 encryption for fast performance and enhanced security; and you can even add it to home automation scenes such as turning on your home interior lights whenever the front door is opened or sounding the alarm when a closed window is opened. The HomeSeer DS100 G8 Z-Wave Long Range Door/Window Sensor must be added to a Z-Wave network prior to using. The sensor easily mounts to the fixed jamb of the door/window while the magnet mounts on the actual door/window.
