Can silicone oil be used with resin?
Answer: Yes, it is possible to use silicone oil with resin. However, it is important to remove all the silicone oil from the surface of the dried painting before applying resin to avoid air pockets and the 'silvering' effect. To do this, you can clean your pour paintings using cornflour and a soft brush, then wash the painting with hand soap. We recommend completing this process several times.
