Question:
What is the difference between the t-100 thrift and the t-200 thrift?
Answer: The amount in the bottle: 1 lb or 2 lb. -

Answer: No, the instructions specifically state not to use it in standing water -

Will this work on toilets?
Answer: I found the Thrift T-200 to be helpful to me to unclog my bathroom vanity drain. All that shaving cream, hair products, make-up, toothpaste finally did my drain in. I used the Thrift T-200 as directed and heard it working, that's right I heard it in the pipes bubbling then it made kind of a sucking noise and whoosh my drain was open. I have used it for other drains in my house too with the same success. I actually put some in bathroom and kitchen drains monthly and have not had a repeat clog. -
Question:
How much product must be used each time?
Answer: I use 1/2 cup in the master bathroom sink. One cup would probably be better but 1/2 cup works. About every 3-5 months the drain is slow and this works great. Warm to hot water activates the product and dissolves any thing that clogs the drain such as shaving cream residue. -
Question:
can you use it in kitchen sinks
Answer: This is a super product for bathtub/shower drains as well as regular sinks. I haven't tried it in my kitchen sink because my plumber said it wasn't appropriate for that use. -

Active ingredients?
Answer: This was recommended to me by Roto Rooter. It works great. He said to use it about once a month. I keep it on hand at all times. -

Will it damage pvc pipes?
Answer: I'm pretty sure that it is safe for PVC pipes. I have been using it on my PVC pipes (drain pipes) for about a year now. I have seen no problems to the pipes. -
Question:
Will this product help with septic tank odor?
Answer: I don't know about the odor....but it is the most amazing drain cleaner I have ever experienced!! -
Question:
I see some of the bottles say 'granular.' Is this a liquid or is it granules? And which kind works best?
Answer: I only have experience with the T-200 granular. The product info indicates that the T-200 is suited for household drains. A friend told me about it and he has used it for several years with very good experience. And, I was also pleased with its performance. My drain was very very slow and it opened up within 2-3 minutes. -
Question:
How do you use for a septic, just use inside in the tub and sinks?
Answer: So far, I have only used it for my bathroom sink where I shave and brush my teeth. Works on bathtub and shower drains also. Call manufacturer to discuss septic tanks.
