However, the magnets that come with the stand are not so strong and can only hold a few sheets, which can be an issue when using thicker paper or more than 2-3 papers at a time. Though not designed for horizontal use, it seems stable when placed in that position. The lip at the bottom is about an inch deep, making it able to hold a phone or iPad securely if necessary. In general, the product has received good feedback from users and has been used for almost a year with no issues.
