- The NOYAFA NF-8508 is a multifunction network cable tester combining an Optical Power Meter, Visual Fault Locator (VFL), and Ethernet cable tracer in one portable device, designed for IT professionals, network engineers, and field technicians. The main emitter unit delivers 9 essential testing functions — wire mapping, cable tracing, port flashing, cable length measurement, PoE detection, RJ45 crimp testing, optical power measurement, VFL fiber fault location, and system settings — eliminating the need for multiple separate instruments. For copper cable diagnostics, the NF-8508 maps wire continuity, crossover, and short circuit status for RJ45, RJ11, CAT5, and CAT6 cables. Cable length measurement pinpoints cable length and break locations with an optimal range of 5 to 350 meters, with calibration available for improved accuracy. PoE detection tests both standard and non-standard PoE from 5V to 60V DC, automatically identifying AF and AT standards. The crimp test function verifies RJ45 connector quality, displaying a checkmark for properly crimped wires and an X for faulty connections. Port flashing synchronizes the green indicator on the display with the connected port LED for quick identification. For cable tracing, the emitter supports two modes — anti-interference tracing for noise-free operation on gigabit switches under load, and standard tracing for general wiring — with a maximum tracing distance of 600 meters unloaded and 1,000 meters under load. The included receiver unit features anti-interference and standard tracing modes, Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) detection for AC voltage safety verification, and an LED flashlight for low-light environments. The receiver's sensitivity knob adjusts the detection range up to 10 centimeters for precise cable location. For fiber optic testing, the built-in Optical Power Meter measures optical power and attenuation values across multiple wavelengths with adjustable units, wavelength settings, reference value, and calibration. The 650nm VFL operates in fast flash, slow flash, and constant-on modes to locate fiber breaks and faults. The emitter features a customizable settings menu including language selection, backlight brightness and timeout, auto power-off timer, wire mapping calibration, factory reset, and firmware version display. Both units are powered by a built-in 1500mAh rechargeable lithium battery with Type-C charging, providing up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The product includes the NF-8508 emitter main unit, receiver unit, headset accessory, Type-C USB charging cable, and user manual. Measuring 8 x 3 x 2 inches and weighing 1.5 pounds, this complete network diagnostic kit is suitable for both field service and benchtop applications.
