The length of the blade is 6.5 inches while the handle is 4.75 in total length. Also, the manufacturer sub-contracted production to various firms in China following the closure of their German factory in 2009. Although the company insists that quality won't be affected, customer feedback suggests who believe otherwise. Some reviewers find it to be a sturdy and well-made product with a great design and very sharp, ideal for chopping herbs or spreading cream cheese or peanut butter. However, on the downside, some customers claim that the blade is not sharp enough, and it becomes rusty after a couple of months of use and washing.
