Krups Simply Brew Stainless Steel and Glass Carafe Drip Coffee Maker is a programmable and customizable coffee maker with a digital display and warming function. It has a drip-free spout and is dishwasher safe. The coffee maker is made in China, which was surprising for a German brand. While the pot performs well, some users complained about a strong plastic or chemical smell, especially after cleaning with vinegar. Pouring can be challenging for larger amounts, as spillage can occur. The coffee is hot and flavorful when first brewed, and the machine has a charcoal filter with an option to use regular filters. The water tank is not removable, and the coffee basket has design flaws, making it feel flimsy. While the lid snaps in place, it doesn't feel smooth, and the carafe has a reduced diameter neck, making it challenging to pour water and brewed coffee with hot spills being a common occurrence. Some users also experienced issues with a broken carafe and the product designer's inConsistency in its pouring design.
