AGPTEK Modems FM2 Editorial Review
The USB 56K Voice Fax Data External Modem is a plug-and-play device compatible with devices running on Windows 98SE/2000/ME/XP/Vista/Win 7. It has dual ports and supports features such as auto-dial, auto answer and auto retrain, and it can work as a voice telephone if you have a microphone and speaker. However, it does not support dtmf format for caller id info in some countries and is not compatible with Windows 10. The device does not come with Mac drivers, but it worked on a Mac in a Windows virtual machine. Customers recommend the modem as a good buy with seamless installation using Windows Fax and Scanner application. It is perfect for people who need to send/receive old-fashioned faxes and would not want to pay monthly or annual fees. While some customers have reported that the device did not work, others point out that it worked great for them.
