The Fronius Rapid Shutdown Box Duo does not require any additional components or a dedicated power supply - it simply connects to the inverter via a signal wire and can be conveniently mounted under the module. What sets the Fronius Rapid Shutdown Box Duo apart is its low cost and simplicity in installation. Its sleek and low-profile design allows for seamless installation underneath the modules, ensuring a clean and aesthetically appealing system look.
The box is built to withstand severe outdoor conditions with its NEMA 4X rating, making it a reliable choice for any environment. Wiring is made easy with the included MC4 connectors, spring loaded terminals, and generous wiring space. When AC power is not present at the inverter, the rapid shutdown is triggered, rapidly discharging the DC lines to the inverter.
