Can I cut this rope with a good pair of scissors, or will it be difficult (rope is too thick)? Would this B good 2 wrap a plumbing pole in apartment?
Answer: Yes, a good pair of scissors will cut it fine. The plumbers pole? If it's for wrapping it for insulation properties, then yes it would work great. -

Is this scratchy and can it tie knots well?
Answer: This sash cord is not scratchy and will tie knots well. This is not your average clothesline, with an 800 lb. test, it is very strong. -

Can this fit into a 1/4 inch grommet eyelet?
Answer: Diameter of this rope is 1/4 inch. -
Question:
How does the material and manufacturing differ from Samson? Seems very similar. I want something or my windows that will last as long as possible.
Answer: I'm not familiar with the Samson, but we have used this one for more than 4 years and it has gotten lots of use and shows zero signs of wear. Our windows are raised and lowered daily for several months, as we do not have air-conditioning, and this cord has performed perfectly. I expect that it will last for decades. -
Question:
How many pounds is this rated for?
Answer: I am not sure but I put a lot of rugs and quilts on this line and the line is 30' long. The only thing is that the line has no cable on the inside core so the long lengths will stretch a few inches in a year, so I will stretch it and retie it once a year and this only happened once in 3 years. Also, regular clothes pins are a little small for this thicker line, so I bought some Italian heavy-duty spring-loaded clothespins, love them! I also live in Arizona, and the sun will rot anything outside and this cotton line is strung up in the sun for the last 3 years and there is no rotting so far. This is a very good line and will hold a lot of weight.
