The MagnaLatch Top Pull latches automatically as long as self-closing hinges are being used. Without self-closing hinges, the gate will need to be pushed shut. D&D Technologies also sells self-closing hinges, specifically the TruClose series, that can be used in conjunction with this lock. The MagnaLatch has received rave reviews from its customers. Its design allows for a lot of flexibility in installation and adjustment. Its dress-up cap, which is not shown in the photo, adds a nice finishing touch.
