Answer: Pretty sure the description was for six individual bookends not six pair especially for the price. -

Where is this product manufactured?
Answer: I don't know. I was not happy with this product and returned it. Notice that the base is only on one side. When you try to take out a book the rest of the books fall over because there isn't an outer base to support them. Look for bookends with the base on both sides and make sure that they are tall enough for the type of items you are trying to support. Good luck. TM
