Hipshot Hardware Hip-5639 Editorial Review
**** The Hipshot Bass String Retainer has garnered positive feedback from customers who appreciate its high-quality Construction and aesthetic appeal. Users note that the product feels durable and is clearly made from a solid block of material, offering an impressive weight and impeccable finish right out of the package. Many customers have shared their confidence in the retainer's ability to hold string tension effectively, making it an essential addition for both new builds and existing instruments. Interestingly, while some users had initial concerns regarding the mounting position due to its placement further back than seen in online imagery, their worries dissipated once they installed the retainer. They report that it integrates seamlessly into their setups, particularly noting its compatibility with Fender Basses. However, potential buyers should be aware that installation requires drilling new holes, as this retainer uses two screws instead of the single screw of older models. Overall, customers have expressed satisfaction with their investment in the Hipshot retainer and indicate a likelihood of using these products on future bass builds. **
