The Ricoh GR IIIx Urban Edition camera is a compact digital camera with a 24MP APS-C size CMOS sensor and 40mmF2.8 GR lens in metallic gray body with a navy blue ring. The camera is not weather sealed and dust can get inside easily. Even though the camera lacks a few accessories such as a black lens ring and special leather wrist strap, it is loved by many customers who have used it to take amazing images. The camera is less intimidating to subjects than even phones and the 40mm lens is versatile for shooting subjects in rural and outdoor settings. The macro mode is also better than expected, and the battery life is decent that comes with an option to purchase a protection plan from Asurion. However, some customers have reviewed that they have experienced poor battery life and the camera is terrible in low light conditions. The autofocus hunts at times, and the camera only comes with one battery with no charger. It appears that the battery is meant to be charged through the camera. Despite some customer complaints, this camera is highly recommended for its ease of use and the wonderful image quality it produces.
