Morakniv Fixed-Blade Knives Editorial Review
The Mora Bushcraft Black is a strong and solid knife that is excellent for camping, hiking, and general all-around use. It is easy to sharpen, has a sharp spine for striking a ferro rod, and is fantastic for making feather sticks. The knife has an incredible edge grind and holds it longer than any knife reviewed. The sheath comes with two different belt attachments: a hook attachment or a loop attachment. The loop attachment is flexible and rotates for when you are sitting or doing tasks while wearing it. The knife is comfortable to grasp, even in damp or wet conditions, and has plenty of grip. Although the knife is expensive compared to the Mora Companion, it is thicker and longer, has a tungsten DLC anti-corrosive coating, and is worth the cost. The knife comes sharp and is excellent for batonning to process firewood. The handle is comfortable, and it splits your index and middle fingers perfectly. It is still larger and gives a handful but doesn't have the lump in the middle feel some Mora knives have. However, some customers disliked the hard case sheath, and some did not receive a belt loop attachment. Additionally, the spine is almost as sharp as the blade, and some reviewers bought the knife instead of the Kephart because of affordability.
