The latch works by stretching to secure and unlatched it’s shorter. The latch is easy to install, with no need to drill any new holes. However, one customer experienced mildew growth on the latch, which was difficult to clean. Overall, the Southco Soft Draw Latch is a great replacement for boat latches and provides a good fit.
