The Fellowes Powershred Shredder Oil is a great product for maintaining your paper shredder. It comes in a 12 oz bottle and is designed for crosscut or confetti cut shredders only. Before the application, the shredder should be run for about 10 seconds to clear blades of paper. Turn off shredder, apply a thin coat of oil across blades and turn on the machine for another 10 seconds to coat blades. Apply once a month for light use and once a week for heavy use. It doesn't smell, and the bottle comes with a plastic tip on it that prevents leaking during shipment. Although the product has received some skeptical comments, it has been found to work effectively by the majority of users, keeping the shredder working smoothly and in good running condition over an extended period.
