DLB-9 Breakaway Dive Ladder Bracket

The Windline DLB-9 Breakaway Dive Ladder Bracket has garnered mixed reception from users, with several customers praising its design and functionality, while others encountered compatibility issues with certain ladder models. Users have highlighted its robust Construction and the peace of mind the breakaway feature provides against potential damage when the ladder is inadvertently left lowered while the boat is in motion. This aspect of the ladder bracket has been specifically mentioned as a standout feature, making it appealing to those who often forget to stow their ladders. However, compatibility concerns have been a prominent issue. A customer reported that the bracket did not fit their Armstrong dive ladder as advertised, leading to modifications in order to make it work. Similarly, another user mentioned that it does not fit a Garelick dive ladder. This variability in compatibility may limit its appeal to some potential buyers who own specific ladder brands. In terms of durability, while many users agree that it is well-made and should last for years, one reviewer noted premature rusting after just one use in saltwater conditions, highlighting a potential concern for those who frequently use the bracket in marine environments. Overall, the Windline DLB-9 offers solid Construction and an ingenious breakaway mechanism, but potential buyers should be cautious about its fit with different ladder models and Consider preventative measures against corrosion. **
