The 3M 8520ES Matte Clear Edge Sealing Tape for vinyl wrap perforated film has received mixed feedback from customers. Some users found the adhesion of the tape to be horrible and comparable to matte scotch tape. Others reported that the edges of the tape were frayed and looked terrible. However, one customer found the tape to be useful in edge sealing SignGold pinstriping. The tape was advertised as 1/2" wide, but the roll received was closer to 3/4". The edges of the tape were not cut straight and had ragged edges, according to another customer. Nonetheless, the tape worked well, although it had some micro cuts that led to the tape splitting every revolution.
