This high-resolution PWM board comes with the ability to control 12 separate channels of 16-bit PWM output with great precision. Designed explicitly for LED control, it is not recommended for servo driving. Only two SPI pins are required to send data, and the board is chainable, meaning you can add as many boards as you need as long as there's enough power for all of them, making it suitable for any project scope.
The best part is that there are constant-current, open-drain 12 outputs that can drive multiple LEDs in series, with a V+ anode supply of up to 17V, meaning your LED brightness doesn't have to suffer even when the power supply dips. The design has an on-chip 3.3V regulator, making it convenient if you need a logic level regulator. To make the board easy to use, Adafruit includes a few extras such as a green power-good LED, four mounting holes, and a current-set resistor. There's also a bit of 0.1 header included so that you can solder it on and plug it into a breadboard. To power the board, connect V+ with 5-17VDC and then send 3-5V logic SPI data on DIN (data in) and CLK (clock).
