The joystick has a long cord and the mechanism is smooth with excellent springs and buttons that work very nicely. Compatibility-wise, it works as it should with RetroN 77, 2600 and 2600-compatible Consoles. It is highly recommended for the Atari 2600. Customers are generally pleased with the joystick as it has a better feel than the original Atari joysticks from the 80s. However, one user reported a problem with accidentally pushing an otherwise unused fire button with their stick hand and suggested that an extra $10 switch to disable one button would be ideal.
