The Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI is a short-scale six-string bass that offers a unique playing experience for guitarists and bassists alike. It has a six-saddle vintage-style bridge and three single-coil pickups that can be switched into any configuration. The bass has a cool bass-cut option that's fun to experiment with and a whammy bar. However, the instrument is somewhat complicated and takes some time (and money) to dial in correctly. The strings are the first thing to replace, but then you'll want a guitar tech to make a new nut, possibly replace the bridge, and shim the neck. The pickups are decent, the tuners are fine, but the low E string is too low and buzzes. The bridge has an intonation problem realigned by an aftermarket bridge designed to fix this issue is over $100.
