It can work for scanner radios only if the scanner operates in the FM frequency range of 88-108 MHz. Husband of one reviewer was very satisfied with the purchase. Some reviewers used this indoors and it worked very well but others were not impressed. It is unclear how effective this product will be in areas with natural obstructions or meddling weather conditions.
