The Furniture of America Lavinia Bed Work Station is a great piece of furniture with a sturdy design. The assembly is not too hard, but it is recommended to get better tools than what is provided. The bed cannot be separated from the desk as the legs are secured with screws. There is no mattress included with this bed. The desk is spacious with lots of storage locations for books and other things. The bunk bed is high with enough head space. The estimated weight capacity is around 150 pounds, but some customers have reported it being able to support more. The product comes with some mislabeling in the directions and scratches on the wood. Some customers have reported difficulty with assembly and stripped bolts/screws. In some cases, a power drill was necessary to screw in some screws. It is also worth noting that there is a big warning sticker on the front of the bed that is hard to remove. Overall, the Furniture of America Lavinia Bed Work Station is a good piece of furniture that is sturdy and well-made with real wood. It is perfect for kids and teenagers who need more room.
