    Answer: No
  • Question: Mine are getting instantly hot and slightly smoking….this isn’t normal is it? This is the exact wattage and voltage it says on my bedset lights.

    Answer: Actually, it is normal for these to get quite hot especially if they are dirty such as with fingerprints. The smoking isn’t coming from the lights but from whatever is on the surface. Turn them off. Wipe them with a clean cloth and reinstall them using a glove or cloth. They should be OK.

    Answer: No, these are conventional halogen bulbs. They're reliable and last a long time, unlike the LEDs. I'm pretty sure the LEDs have a ways to go before they're a good product; I've bought them three times from different manufacturers and all flickered, didn't quite fit right, and went out after a week or two. Not-quite-ready-for-prime-time technology, IMHO. So I get these conventional ones. They get hot and use more juice, but at they're way less expensive in the long run.
  • Question: Can this be used as an internal oven light? will it withstand 500 degree temperatures?

    Answer: I purchased it for my under the cabinets lights. No, it is not for use as an oven light.
