Pentel Mechanical Pencils PG1013E Editorial Review
The Pentel Graph Gear 1000 mechanical pencil is a favorite among customers for its sturdiness, ease of use, and suitability for writing and drafting. While some found the retractable tip a little wobbly, customers appreciated that it doesn't impede their writing experience. The pencil is also comfortable to hold for long periods. A common issue is breaking the plastic internals when unscrewing the tip of the pencil. The 0.3 lead size is fragile but perfect for fine writing or drafting. The colored panels are just indicators for the lead hardness and have no other function. Customers had experienced problems with broken leads jamming the pencil, however, this can be solved by removing the eraser and clearing the blockage with a fine pin. The pencil is available in different lead sizes but only comes in black lead. The shipping for the product is poor, however, the product itself is durable and built to last.
