This katana sword has a good edge and is well-forged with real hamon patterns. The blade is not stamped but rather forged. However, the habaki and saya are both cheaply made, with the latter being just plain black lacquer. The handle is not of the finest quality but is functional. There are some minor imperfections on the polish on the blade and some nicks on the ha and boshi edges, but otherwise, it's a well-crafted sword with an attractive bohi. Some handles may have cracks, but these are just lacquer deep and do not extend into the wood. In general, this sword is appropriate for the price and good for entry-level and practice.
