The knife has a modified version of a back lock known as the top lock that ensures the blade is secure when it is closed. The 8Cr13MoV steel used to create the blade makes it strong and durable for extended use. Moreover, the knife has a hollow grind that makes it easier to sharpen the blade when it becomes dull. The glass reinforced nylon handle provides a firm grip, and the pocket clip offers easy accessibility. Although the blade length and size are not standard, the Kova would be in the medium length range, with a blade length of 3.497” and an entire length of 8” when the blade is deployed.
