    Answer: NO- you aren't missing any instructions! That black box is the self-contained battery powered clock. It should be all IN ONE PIECE. Sounds like somebody smashed it? Contact the seller- they will replace the clock mechanism.

    Answer: Our unicorn puzzle clock can be detached from the wings. The structure is stable even without the wings, but the appearance may not be as good. Hope you have a good shopping.
