After contacting Kohler again, it was confirmed that some Kohler products are indeed not interchangeable. The customer eventually received a new shower head from Kohler that fit the diverter, but encountered some issues with installation, resulting in the new shower arm sticking out from the wall and the collar not fitting properly. The customer also experienced problems with the diverter not stopping the flow of water as intended. Overall, customer experiences with this product have been mixed.
