The larger the leg tube the more stable the tripod generally speaking. (When it comes to stability and rigidity there are other factors involved such as leg locks and materials, etc.) -

Answer: The ballhead screws onto the center column. Sometimes there is a plastic protective cover over the screw, just remove that. -

Answer: Far better than the mefoto stand. The only problem is that it is heavier than the Mefoto. Mefoto is better for long hikes. -

Answer: It comes with three metal spike "feet", that can be swapped out with the rubber feet that are installed on the legs when it ships to you. It ships with rubber feet attached, but there are also metal spike feet that come with it for you to attach whenever you see fit. -

Answer: No, it does not come with a head, mount, and carrying case. -

Answer: That head would work fine on these legs, however, a larger head such as the S6 would make it top-heavy.
