It provides a beautiful natural matte finish and protects against water and other liquids but not hot grease. It could also be used to lubricate raw wood drawer slide slots. However, it may not be good for kitchen cabinets as it may be too soft a finish. It is not a waterproofing product which means it may not protect wood from water rings. The product requires elbow grease to get a deep gloss finish. The product has a scent so it is recommended to be used outside. Though some reviewers complained that the wax is too hard to spread or it destroyed their furniture, most of the customers were satisfied with the effect of the Briwax on their furniture. It is easy to use once the wood is free of old wax, dirt, or water spots. It has done a great job of protecting and adding a great shine to furniture like tables and cabinets.
