However, this product has its drawbacks: it is not suitable for coating fabric as it makes it hard, nor for any surface used for eating or drinking, as it is not food safe. There is a better option for sealing pencils and inks – Fixative, which doesn't add any finish to it but does seal the drawing. It is a spray that effectively creates a high gloss coating on any surface. The water-resistant feature is excellent; it prevents water from sticking to the coated material, making this the go-to option for anyone looking for a sealer to protect their work.
