Is the peeler easy to clean?

Answer: The suction-grip feet work best on smooth, flat surfaces like countertops. -

How do you clean it?
Answer: Apple mush and mold WILL accumulate over time on the inside of the base. Take it apart and CLEAN it. Remove the 4 screws from the base that go through the suction cups then it will come apart so you can remove the gears and clean the mold out. Very easy to do. -

Will it adapt to peel a pear?
Answer: I think that it could peel a pear. -
Question:
What is the gear ratio of motor?
Answer: There's no motor. There's a hand crank that is easy to operate. It takes 8 handle rotations to peel the apple, and another 7 rotations to complete the cycle. So the gear ratio is 15:1. -
Question:
Will the slicer make apple rings or wedges?
Answer: It peels the apple first. Then you have the option of wedges with the individual sectional device that comes with it, or you can core the apple and make apple rings. There is also an apple corer that comes with it. -
Question:
Can I peel citrus fruit like oranges and lemons with this product?
Answer: I haven't tried this, but the pressure on blade doesn't feel adequate to take off citrus peels. It does need a fairly round fruit, so pears wouldn't peel completely. Tomatoes might, but if they're really ripe, I'm not sure if it would bruise the flesh. -
Question:
Will this work on potatoes?
Answer: I have never tried a potato, but I'm sure it would work. The cutting blade adjusts to all sizes of apples so it should work. -
Question:
I've got liquid inside the unit. There is a hole in the plastic in the center of the 4 prongs. Does unit come apart?
Answer: There are holes in the bottom of the unit that allow it to drain... tip cutter so that water can escape would be my recommendation. -

Hi. Will this work well with Delicious apples? Thanks!
Answer: It will not work as well as with a rounder Apple. I might try it with the apple upside down to peel the larger part first. My 4 yr old grandson can peel apples with it! -

How well does the corer/slicer work? And, is it as messy as the traditional horizontal peeler/corer/slicer? Mine splatters the juices everywhere!
Answer: This peeler and the corer/slicer are awesome. You can peel the apple in a couple seconds. Then I put the peeled apple on a perfectly flat plate (a paper plate will do), center the corer/slicer over the stem area of the apple, press down, and in one motion you have a perfectly cored and sliced apple. No...it does not splatter juices around. I just rinse both the blade and prongs and corer/slicer under water and put it away until I am ready to use it again. Love it...use it every day. Try the sliced apples with peanut butter. :)
