Question:
How do you get the lid on?
Answer: Stand it on end and start at the middle. With the lid at a 90 degree angle press against the side of the box at the connection point while pushing straight in on the outside. Then do the same thing for the top and bottom. -

Is the dark black 31 gallon box really a different color/shade of black than the black 100 gallon box? I would like to put them next to each other
Answer: Experience with this item not good. Gave it one star only. Bought for rattan pattern matching patio furniture. Suggest a different manufacturer. -

I lifted The top after my husband assembled and now i cant close it. What shall I do?
Answer: Don't know. Just gave it a 1 star rating because the corners didn't fit together well and top piece warps in sunlight. Also scuffs easily. Didn't look very waterproof either, especially at bottom sides. Requested refund with no response yet. Will request return, but not sure how to ship back yet since already assembled. Got fooled by price point on this item and still paid too much; will have to save up now for something like a Suncast deck box instead. Been had so far. -

What is the weight capacity for sitting on this without bowing out?
Answer: I’m not sure. But I’ve had 300 lbs on it. However the corners have bowed out some from the sun. Quality good be better -

Can't attach the top (lid) - any siggestions?
Answer: You need to people and it has to be upright and open when you attach as the grooves for the two plastic pins on the three hinges have to slide in just at that angle and you cannot hit it in. It’s just one person you need to have someone pushing from the inside, I just built mine yesterday, and it was easy up until this point, and I had to have my husband step in to push from the inside of the chest -

Will this Hold 6 patio cushions with 6 back?
Answer: It holds my patio cushion set (just regular sizes, not oversized). Which includes a bench seat with back and 4 chairs, so I think that would be comparable to your 6 and 6. Hope that helps. -
Question:
How much weight can the lid support when used as a bench?
Answer: It said up to 500 lbs.
