GekkoScience USB Flash Drives Editorial Review
The Newpact USB miner offers good performance, easy setup, and requires minimal technical knowledge. You will need to download the installation instructions and run the zadig USB installer and the latest cgminer software, and create a .bat file to launch the miner. Additionally, you will need a mining-specific powered USB hub like the GekkoScience type ones. The miner is much more efficient than the Gekko 2pacs, but still needs about 5w of juice. Hardware errors are common when running these USB miners at anything over 100MHz, but that's normal, and you can adjust the potentiometer up until the HW errors drop to almost zero. It can mine only SHA256 algorithm crypto like Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. You can use a Multi-Pool like Prohashing.com or zpool.ca to mine with a NewPac stick and receive payouts in just about any major crypto, token, or asset.
